What we’re exploring

Practice following a number sequence, looking carefully and controlling a line while revealing an original picture.

A little way to play

  1. Start at the ring around 1. Join each number to the next, up to 20.
  2. Join the last dot back to 1 to finish the outline. Printed details and decorations help bring the character to life.
  3. Color the picture, add a background and tell a little story about its adventure.
Make it easier

Point to the next number together before drawing. An adult can count aloud or guide a finger; choose a shorter trail whenever useful.

Try a little more

Name the next number before finding it. Add patterns, a setting or a speech bubble to the completed picture.

For the grown-up

The suggested age is a browsing guide. Trails of 20, 25 and 30 dots offer different starting points; higher numbers may need adult support. Each pack has two activity pages followed by two separate completed-picture guides. Print at actual size. On-screen play uses taps or Enter/Space and stores no progress.

How do I print this?

Choose your vocabulary and paper size, then download the PDF. Print at actual size or 100%. Use the low-ink option for outline activities; color-name cards still need their color to teach the word. Cut-and-stack mini-books are available in the flashcard maker.
