Counting through everyday play
Practical ways to explore small quantities with your child, from touching each object once to matching a group with a number card.
Read the guide ↗Meet Rob, the parent behind Little Learning Kit’s free learning resources for families and classrooms.
Little Learning Kit began with the activities I was making for my own children. I wanted clear, useful things we could look at, talk about and print together. Finding them often meant buying another book on Amazon, paying for an Etsy download or trying to use a blurry preview.
Making my own gave me a way to put together what we needed. Sharing them here means other parents, carers and teachers can find an activity without paying for each printable.
I enjoy making practical resources that people can use freely. My hope is that these little activities give you more time to enjoy learning together and less time searching for something suitable.
I write from the perspective of a parent and resource creator. The guides link to recognised educational sources, and the activities are designed for a grown-up to choose and adapt. They don’t replace your child’s school guidance or individual advice.
